Important RoSETRE Announcement
Following the publication in the Official Gazette of the Order amending and supplementing the Procedure for the registration in Romania of European Electronic Toll Service (EETS) providers, approved by the Joint Order no. 378/362/2022 of the Secretary General of the Government and the Minister of Transport and Infrastructure, the National Electronic Register will provide interested economic operators with the necessary procedures for registration on the RoSETRE platform, starting from 15.04.2026.
Working meeting on the SETRE project, at the headquarters of ICI Bucharest
The National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics – ICI Bucharest hosted, on May 5, 2026, a working meeting dedicated to the SETRE project – the European Electronic Road Toll Service.
The meeting was attended by field operators, the Director of the Revenue and Commercial Collections Directorate within The National Company for Road Infrastructure Administration – CNAIR, Cosmin Popescu, and the General Director of ICI Bucharest, Adrian-Victor Vevera.
The meeting aimed to discuss the operation of the service, the role of the National Electronic Registry – SETRE and the collaboration between the institutions and operators involved. Topics related to the administration and updating of information in the registry, as well as to the technical and operational aspects of applying European requirements in the field of electronic road tolls, were addressed.
The participants discussed how to improve communication among the parties and the necessary steps to ensure EETS activities are carried out as efficiently as possible. The meeting also provided an opportunity to clarify procedural issues and exchange views between operators and representatives of the institutions present.
